Napoleon vs. Snowball: The Power Struggle

Early Cooperation and Tension

Snowball and Napoleon are both leaders of the pigs, but they are very different. Snowball is eloquent and inventive, Napoleon is taciturn and calculating. They work together to organize the Rebellion, but their methods clash. Already, they oppose each other on every resolution, building a pattern of antagonism.

The Windmill Divides the Farm

The debate over the windmill becomes the central conflict. Snowball's vision wins the majority, but Napoleon's quiet opposition is backed by the threat of force. The sheep are trained to interrupt Snowball's speeches. The farm is split into two factions, and the tension is palpable.

The Violent Expulsion

At the moment of Snowball's apparent victory, Napoleon gives a signal. The nine dogs, now fully grown, burst in and chase Snowball off the farm. The animals are shocked and terrified. Napoleon's use of raw force ends the rivalry decisively. Snowball is never seen again.

The Demonization Campaign

With Snowball gone, Napoleon launches a campaign to rewrite history. Snowball is blamed for the windmill's destruction, for crop failures, for every misfortune. The animals are made to believe that Snowball was a traitor and a secret agent of Jones. The rivalry is transformed into a myth of the evil enemy within.
